Thesis title: Meaningfulness within youth sport?

Background

I became a PhD student in October 2021 after completing his MSc in psychological studies at the University of Glasgow.

I was a badminton student-athlete from an early age. The uni-team I represented won Champion of the 2017 Hunan Province University Badminton Competition (provincial level) and Seventh Place in the 2018 Chinese University Badminton Competition (national level) (2013-2019). In addition, I was a badminton coach from 2016 to 2020 in China, and my coaching context included recreational clubs, and community programs to performance selection teams, especially in youth sports.  Part of the students have become the main players in the region’s professional team and student-athletes in local schools (2016-2020). In addition to my athletic and coaching experience, I have played a pivotal role in sports administration. I served at the Changsha Badminton Association, where he managed volunteer coordination, and spearheaded initiatives for volunteer and referee training and development programs (2016-2019). After long-term coaching and management experience, I changed my interest and would like to explore the world through research. Thus, I became a research assistant at the Institute of Psychology, mainly focusing on the effects of PA on cognitive intervention for ageing people (2019-2020).
