Thesis title: Blinding Data: exploring data epistemologies in school

Current research interests

My research interests lie in the impact of datafication in the secondary school setting. I am keen to explore pupils as "data constructions" and what this means for education. The work raises philosophical and ethical questions concerning teaching and learning as they are thrown into relief by the computational processes of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I am very interested in postqualitative research approaches for their creative potential and conviction that ethics are immanent to any knowledge-making practice.
