Mrs Elizabeth Wright (MPharm PgDip)

Pharmacist

Background

Liz joined the Dick Vet team in 2007 after working in the human pharmacy sector with Boots the Chemist. She enjoys the challenges veterinary pharmacy brings, such as reformulating medicines, sourcing unusual drugs and giving advice to vets - not to mention getting to meet all the animals who come to the hospitals.

Liz is involved in vet student teaching and also helps train pre-registration pharmacists in veterinary pharmacy and the needs of the veterinary profession. She has also acted as a consultant for the RCVS, RPSGB and is one of the authors of the BSAVA Good Practice In Veterinary Medicine Guide and the BSAVA Textbook of Veterinary Nursing.  Liz has a MPharm degree in Pharmacy from The Robert Gordon University and a diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy.

Since joining the Dick Vet, Liz has adopted two dogs from the Edinburgh Cat and Dog Home, Amy and Ellie.
