Academic misconduct procedure
How academic misconduct cases are investigated.
All forms of academic misconduct are regarded as an offence and are punishable under the University’s Code of Student Conduct. Suspected cases are investigated by one of the University’s network of School and College Academic Misconduct Officers (SAMOS/CAMOS) who are responsible for the investigation at School or College level, and for determining appropriate penalties.

Right of appeal
You have the right to appeal decisions made by a Board of Examiners, including decisions affected by the outcome of an academic misconduct investigation. If you wish to submit such an appeal you should refer to the University’s Student Appeal Regulations. The Advice Place can also provide you with support and independent advice on your appeal.
