Scotland’s longest-running celebration of diversity, Pride Edinburgh, will take place on Saturday 20 June, with free events happening across the capital.
The University and the Students’ Association venues will join forces with Pride Edinburgh to host the Festival Village at Bristo Square.
After reopening in March 2026 following a major refurbishment, this year will see Teviot return to the festival for the first time in three years.
The historic building will host the community fair and the community stage where visitors will be able to browse a range of stalls from organisations, community groups and charities from across Scotland.
LGBT+ celebrations
Pride is a national celebration which recognises LGBT+ communities, history and culture.
Edinburgh’s annual Pride march on 20 June will begin at 1pm at Scottish Parliament and will finish at the Festival Village in Bristo Square.
From 2pm, the Festival Village will play host to Pride Edinburgh’s main stage with a range of headline artists, DJ sets and performances.
This year, Edinburgh Futures Institute will also play host LGBT Youth Scotland’s Pride Youth Hub for young people, their family and friends.
As part of the celebrations on University campus, the Progress Pride flag – with colours representing LGBT+ communities – will be raised at Old College.
Pride Month
Alongside joining the city-wide celebrations on 20 June, the University's Staff Pride Network is hosting a series of events throughout Pride Month.
Activities include screenings of short films, coffee mornings across University campuses, and a social evening taking place on Friday 5 June.
