Teviot Row House upgrade

A new video provides a behind-the-scenes look at the upgrade of Edinburgh’s iconic Students’ Union building.

The project is approaching its final stages of development, with the building due to reopen in spring 2026.

Preserving Teviot for generations to come

The works will make the world’s oldest purpose-built students’ union more accessible and environmentally efficient.

The building will offer a range of welcoming spaces for socialising, studying and for clubs and societies to meet.

Many of the existing facilities will be enhanced, while maintaining the unique historic character of the building.

Lucy Evans, Deputy Secretary Students, and Ash Scholz, Edinburgh University Students’ Association President, recently visited the site to see some of the completed building works on the top floor.
