Vigil in support of Ukraine
The Chaplaincy is organising a vigil for the public to show solidarity with Ukraine.
The peaceful outdoor gathering will take place in George Square on Tuesday 28 June at 5pm.
The University community and members of the public are invited to attend the vigil – held on Ukraine Constitution Day – and show their support for those impacted by the war in Ukraine.
Ukrainian families will attend the gathering alongside the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
Alongside the vigil, the Chaplaincy is extending its ‘Light Up Our Hearts for Ukraine’ campaign.
People are encouraged to share solidarity, vigilance and hope for Ukraine, with others in Scotland and around the world.
Those wanting to show support online are invited to plant a sunflower on the website map at any time and from wherever you are in the world, to show the shared support.
