The Students' Association, Pridesoc and the University’s Staff Pride Network have organised a range of events to mark this month-long celebration of LGBT+ history and culture.
LGBT+ History Month is a national event which takes place every February, with the aim of increasing the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT+) people, their history, lives and experiences. It also focuses on working towards making educational and other institutions safe spaces for all LGBT+ communities.
Get involved
On Thursday 13 February, the Staff Pride Network and PrideSoc will join OurStory Scotland to share and record the University community’s stories and experiences, good or bad, of coming to Edinburgh.
Elsewhere, the Students' Association will be hosting a mixer event at Teviot Row House on Saturday 15 February.
Other events include a talk from Lavender Menace Returns on how and why they are creating an LGBT+ archive; dance fitness classes; and an improv workshop run by Edinburgh's Queer Arts & Social Club.
