Update on measles, mumps and rubella
Students are being advised to make sure they are fully vaccinated against measles, mumps and rubella.
Cases of mumps have increased recently in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and an increase in measles has been seen across Europe and parts of the UK.
NHS Lothian is advising students to check that they have received two doses of the MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) vaccination before going on holiday or to any music festivals this summer.
If you have not received two doses of the vaccine, please discuss this with your student health service or general practice.
