New anti-bullying and harassment initiative launched

The Don’t Cross the Line campaign has been launched to raise awareness of dignity and respect across the University.

The campaign intends to provide students and staff with the appropriate level of knowledge to:

  • Understand the expectations placed on them, in relation to dignity and respect, as a member of the University;
  • Understand the University’s zero tolerance stance on any forms of bullying, harassment, discrimination and victimisation;
  • Be aware of the processes and support for raising and addressing such concerns.

Don’t cross the line is such an important awareness raising campaign to reduce all forms of bullying and harassment, behaviours which have no place in the University of Edinburgh. I support it wholeheartedly and would encourage you to become a Respect Champion.

Professor Peter MathiesonPrincipal and Vice-Chancellor
