Revision Week Instagram Competition Terms and Conditions

UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH REVISION WEEK INSTAGRAM PHOTO COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Terms and Conditions – the University of Edinburgh’s Revision Week Instagram photo competition. By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. This competition is promoted and administered by the University of Edinburgh’s Communications and Marketing department, 5 Forrest Hill, Edinburgh, EH1 2QL.
  3. The competition will run until 23:59 on 9 December 2018. Entries made after this time will not be counted.
  4. To participate in this competition, you must share your Revision Week image on Instagram using the hashtag #edinburghrevisionweek and tagging the @edinburghuniversity Instagram page. Entries that do not include the specified hashtag will not be counted. Entrants may submit multiple entries; however, only one prize can be won per entrant.
  5. There will be three winners chosen by a jury of University of Edinburgh staff. The three winners will be chosen within 1 week of the closure of the competition.
  6. Each winner will receive a University of Edinburgh-branded Keepcup.
  7. The competition is open to current students of the University of Edinburgh only. Entries provided by individuals who are not current students of the University of Edinburgh will not be counted.
  8. Winners will be announced publicly on the University of Edinburgh’s Instagram page and the winners’ Instagram accounts will be tagged in the announcement post. The three winning photos will be “regrammed” by the University of Edinburgh’s Instagram page.
  9. Each winner will be required to provide their email address and contact phone number as instructed at the time of being announced as a winner. Further details will then be provided by the University of Edinburgh as to how to claim the prize. Winners must respond within 48 hours of being announced as the winner. After this time the University of Edinburgh reserves the right to choose an alternate winner.
  10. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition; however, you will need an internet connection and access to Instagram. No refund may be claimed for expenses incurred in participating in this competition, including in relation to the use of the internet.
  11. We reserve the right to exclude any entries which we believe to be inappropriate, fraudulent or based on misconduct.
  12. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives.
  13. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Facebook. You are providing your information to the University of Edinburgh and not to Instagram or Facebook. By participating in this promotion you agree to a complete release of Instagram and Facebook from any claims.
  14. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be used for marketing purposes without the individual's prior consent.
