Staff and students are invited to get involved in a new network which aims to enhance student engagement in learning and teaching.
The Edinburgh Network: Growing Approaches to Genuine Engagement – or ENGAGE – aims to bring together those interested in creating meaningful interactions between students and staff, focused on learning, teaching and assessment.
Meetings will include sharing of ideas, research and practice, and offer space for discussion and collegial support.
Whether you are interested in enhancing student engagement in learning and teaching from the student or staff perspective, you are welcome to come along to engage meetings.
At the first meeting ENGAGE will focus on a range of practical ways to enhance student engagement:
The second event will see Dr Meryl Kenny from the School of Social and Political Sciences talk about a course she has co-created with students:
Further events are planned, and more information and booking links for these will be available in due course.
The network plans to hold events every 6-8 weeks. At all events there will be plenty of opportunity for discussion.
