Advice for EU/EAA students

Additional advice for EU/EAA students around Brexit.

As the UK prepares to exit the European Union, we understand that this is an uncertain and anxious time for many people.

One of the most important aspects of the University is that we are a community – one in which our students and staff feel valued and welcome, wherever they are from. We think that the strength of the University comes from its diversity, as people from different places and backgrounds come together to build, share and pass on new knowledge. This international outlook will remain regardless of our status in the EU.

But we know that this is a challenging time for many people across the University and we want to reassure you that your wellbeing is of utmost priority. We have previously updated you through 'The University and Europe' microsite on key facts - most importantly that eligible EU students already studying with us will continue to benefit from free tuition and, if eligible, living cost support.

The University is now providing further advice for all EU/EAA students around issues including permanent right of residence and comprehensive sickness insurance.
