Student success at TV awards
Students at the University have won four awards in recognition of their outstanding audiovisual work.
They took home top awards for their animation and factual programmes, and were recognised for excellence in camera and sound.
RTS Student Television Awards
The Royal Television Society (RTS) Scotland’s annual Student Television Awards were held recently at BBC Scotland in Pacific Quay, Glasgow.
The awards celebrate the best in student television from across Scotland, and were presented in three categories: Animation, Drama and Factual.
The judges also recognised excellence in craft with three awards for best camera, sound and editing.
Winners
The award in the Animation category was presented to Edinburgh College of Art student Ben Cresswell for ‘The Armadillo and the Earwig’.
The Factual category award went to ‘Dipper from the Water of Leith’, which was made by students at the University. The programme won three awards overall.
In the Craft Excellence Awards, Kris Kubik and Lewis Jones were recognised for their outstanding camera and sound work, respectively.
