Free tickets for oldest rugby contest
Students and under 25’s can get free tickets to see the University’s rugby club play in the world’s oldest varsity match.
Edinburgh will play St. Andrews in the Royal Bank of Scotland Scottish Rugby Varsity Match at BT Murrayfield stadium on Saturday 24 September.
Rivalry renewed
The annual encounter between the two universities was first staged in the 1860s.
Last year, the contest took place at BT Murrayfield for the first time, attracting a crowd of almost 10,000.
St Andrews won the men’s match 27-26, courtesy of a dramatic touchline conversion in the final act of the game, while Edinburgh triumphed in the women’s game, 36-7.
