Award marks decade of catering excellence
The University’s catering service has won a healthy eating award for the tenth year running.
Edinburgh was recently awarded a prestigious accreditation from a national charity for providing its students with nutritionally healthy food.
The Accommodation, Catering and Events team received the accreditation from Food for the Brain, a national charity that promotes the links between nutrition and mental health.

The catering service has retained Food for the Brain’s Nutritional Accreditation every year since 2006 – the longest any UK catering service provider has consecutively held the award.
The aim of the award is to raise awareness of the links between learning, behaviour, mental health and nutrition, and to promote mental health through optimum nutrition.
The team is the only university catering service in Scotland to hold the accreditation.
