Online study with students from around the world

A unique opportunity has been created to study with students from all around the world from the comfort of your own room, whilst developing key critical thinking skills that will enrich your study.

The project is a collaboration of the Universitas 21 partnership - 27 Universities from all around the world, bringing their students together to learn and think globally.

About the course

Launching on 3 November this short, fully online-course (5 weeks) will help you develop and enhance your academic studies, whilst gaining insight into big global issues, such as climate change, infectious diseases and obesity.

The course will use content from the Critical Thinking short-course on education platform Coursera and will require 2-3 hours study per week, which includes watching videos, reading articles and contributing to forum discussions - all delivered fully online.

Critical thinking

Critical thinking is the ability to assess information in a balanced way to reach conclusions that are justified by reasoned argument based on the available evidence. Critical thinking is a key skill in the information age, valuable in all disciplines and professions.
