Good news for Edinburgh graduates

Edinburgh students have excellent employment prospects, a new survey confirms.

The latest graduate employment figures show that almost 95 per cent of 2012/13 students leaving Edinburgh were in employment or further education six months after completing their studies.

Graduate jobs

The figures, published today (3 July) by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), also reveal that 83 per cent of those in employment were in graduate level jobs.

The University has the third highest employment figures in the prestigious Russell Group of Britain’s leading research intensive universities, behind Cardiff University and the University of Cambridge.

Edinburgh’s graduate employment figures were above both the Scottish and UK averages for higher education institutions.

Our 2012/13 graduates were working in at least 110 countries, reflecting the University’s strong international reputation.

The Edinburgh University Careers service helped me significantly. The service effectively improved my job application process, my interview technique and gave me greater overall confidence when applying for different jobs.
