Election process & candidate information

An election will be held in the following categories and a list of candidates and their statements is available on the Senate elections webpages. Please note that you must be logged in to EASE to access candidate statements:

Elected academic staff (Professorial) – College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine and College of Science and Engineering

The number of nominations received was equal to or fewer than the number of vacancies in all Professorial categories, and therefore all nominees will be elected to Senate unopposed for a three-year term.

Voting in Senate Elections

Voting will be held online and will open at 9am on 17 April and close at midday on 1 May. The election will be conducted by Civica Electoral Services and staff on the relevant electoral roll will receive an email from takepart@cesvotes.com with a link to the online voting system when voting opens.

Eligibility to Vote

All academic staff who were in post on 31 January of the relevant year are eligible to vote in the category they are a member. We encourage staff in each category to vote in the Senate Elections and have their say on who will represent their electorate.
