We want to remind you that University staff have access to various retail discounts via the mylifestyle portal. If you haven’t already registered for this, or haven’t logged into your account for a while, it’s worth doing so you can browse the discounts currently available.
You can make everyday savings in a variety of ways including:
- Saving money on your weekly shop by purchasing a reloadable gift card for your chosen supermarket (various available with discounts currently ranging from 3% to 5.5%).
- Saving 3% on fuel costs by purchasing a Morrisons fuel card.

Go Ape
Go Ape has recently increased the discount available to University staff to 15%. This is valid on all full-price tickets at their Dalkeith and Glentress sites.

Located on Forrest Road, the Doctors pub are now offering us a 10% discount on food and drinks.

Deerieo
Skin care brand Deerieo are offering University staff a 10% discount on the Deerieo range and free delivery when you spend over £25. The business was established in 2020 and Deerieo works with Scottish medicinal plants and scientifically verified active ingredients to gently deliver visible results and help women going through menopause look and feel their best with spa-quality products.
Jack Brown eyecare
Jack Brown Eyecare offers a variety of discounts and benefits to employees, including: 20% discount on spectacles, 15% discount on spectacles for University employees’ immediate family, complimentary enhanced retinal scan on the first visit, free night lenses suitability check and complimentary cleaning spray with any spectacles purchase.
