COP28 climate talks – represent the University of Edinburgh

Staff and students are invited to express their interest in attending the COP28 global climate talks as part of the official University of Edinburgh delegation.

The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference, the 28th event of its kind, is taking place in Dubai from 30 November – 12 December 2023.

The University of Edinburgh contributes to annual COPs by presenting research and through advocacy, observing negotiations and taking part in and analysing discussions.

If you’re selected to attend, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in events and panel discussions.

How can I register my interest?

Visit the Edinburgh Earth Initiative webpages to read the selection criteria and to register your interest. Please complete the form before Sunday 10 September.

Please be aware that there are only a small number of delegate spaces available and submitting your interest doesn’t guarantee you a space at the conference.

Are you already involved in COP28?

If you’ve been invited to speak on a panel or are running an event at COP28, let Edinburgh Earth Initiative know. This helps them to build a picture of the University’s contribution to COP28 and share information with staff and students.
