Staff Benefits and Discounts: What’s New
We’ve added new discounts to our staff benefits package.
Do you take advantage of the benefits and discounts available to staff? The Human Resources Reward Team is always looking for new benefits and discounts to make available to staff. Here are some of the latest additions to the Staff Benefits SharePoint.
Mylifestyle
In December 2020, the new Mylifestyle benefits ’hub’ was launched. This gives staff access to some brand new retail discounts. It is also where employees can access to the University’s Childcare Voucher Scheme (existing members only) and Cycle to Work Scheme (for eligibility requirements please see the SharePoint site)

Learning & Development
LinkedIn Learning - University staff can now access LinkedIn Learning and its library of over 250,000 videos and 15,000 courses in Business, Creative and Technical Skills for free (usual cost around £25 per month).
Food & Drink
Dangal, specialising in healthy modern Indian cuisine, are offering staff a 15% discount on food when ordering takeaway collection or delivery. Further information can be found on the SharePoint.
Retail Shopping
Thankbox are offering staff a 20% discount on their online group card and cash collection service. This can be used for marking any occasion such as celebrating a colleague, a birthday, new baby etc.
Cycling
The Transport and Parking Office have negotiated discounts with the following businesses. For further details, click on the individual links below:
- BG Cycles (10% discount on bikes and accessories)
- The Cycle Service (10% discount on servicing when you spend £20 or more)
- Pedal Forth (10% discount on accessories)
- ProjektRide (10% discount on all bikes, parts, accessories and servicing)
