Senate election 2021: results announced

Senate elections 2021 have now ended and 38 new members have joined the University's supreme academic body.

Voting in the Senate elections took place online between 24 March 2021 and 31 March 2021, and the votes have now been counted.

Only positions for ‘CAHSS Non-Professorial Academic Staff’ members of Senate were open for voting. Other positions received fewer nominations than the available places, and those nominees were therefore returned unopposed.

A complete list of the newly elected members of Senate is now available on the Senate website.

Congratulations to the new members of Senate, who will take up their roles on 1 August 2021.

Vacant academic staff member positions on Senate are open for election annually, and the next elections will take place in semester 2, 2022.
