Nominations for each award will close Friday 24 September 2021.
The Chancellor’s Awards were first awarded in 2003 and acknowledge staff for outstanding contributions to both teaching, research and impact. The awards also offer the opportunity to honour colleagues who are at an early stage of their career and showing great potential.
Revised category to include Professional Services staff
As we are approaching the 20 year anniversary of the awards we have reflected on the awards and have opened them up to include any staff group (academic, professional services, technical or other, including in those in our subsidiary companies) who could not previously have been considered under the research and teaching criteria.
As Impact is at the centre of each award, the former Impact award criteria have been expanded to enable all staff to be nominated, and the award has been renamed ‘Outstanding Contribution’ to reflect its wider reach.
How to nominate
Information on the criteria and nomination process, along with the Chancellor’s Awards nomination form, can be accessed from the Chancellor’s Award webpages:
Deadline: All nominations must be submitted to Heads of School or relevant Department Lead by Friday 24 September 2021 who will decide who to recommend to their respective Head of College or Professional Services Group. The Head of College/Professional Services Group may then submit a maximum of two nominees per category to the Principal who will chose the winner and recommend them to the Chancellor.
Winners will be publicly announced after presentation of the awards at the Chancellor’s Dinner held in the autumn.
