Gavin Douglas to take up new post at the University of Plymouth

Gavin Douglas, currently Deputy Secretary, Student Experience, is to leave the University to take up a post at the University of Plymouth.

He has been appointed as Plymouth’s University Registrar and Secretary.

During his time at Edinburgh Gavin has been responsible for a broad portfolio including Student Systems and Administration, Academic Services, the Institute for Academic Development and a number of student-facing services, including Careers, Counselling and Disability Services, and the Chaplaincy.

Gavin has been an invaluable colleague during his 8 years and more here and will be very much missed. I know colleagues will want to join me in congratulating him on being selected to this new leadership role and wishing him all the very best success for the future.

Gavin will begin his new role with Plymouth on 1 January 2022. A recruitment process to fill the substantive position will begin in due course.
