Results of the University Court Staff Member elections

Following the recent elections for staff member positions on the University’s governing body, Court, the successful candidates have been announced.

Congratulations to Fiona Mackay who has been elected as the Academic Staff Member on the University Court and Sarah McAllister, who has been elected as Professional Services Staff Member on the University Court.

Fiona is a Professor of Politics from the College of Arts Humanities and Social and Sciences, and Sarah is the Head of Student Support Operations as part of the University Secretary Group.

Fiona and Sarah will play an important role in representing University staff at Court, and will contribute to discussions on strategy, making final decisions on matters of fundamental concern to the University, and effective corporate governance.

Both are elected for a period of four years, and will take up their positions from 1 August 2020.
