SBS pension scheme consultation

The deadline to send your views on changes to the SBS pension scheme is approaching.

Staff Benefit Scheme members will be aware we wrote to them earlier in the year to let them know about proposed changes to the contribution levels for the Scheme.

The proposal is to increase member contributions from 8 per cent to 9.1 per cent of pay and employer contributions from 16.2 per cent to 19.8 per cent of pay to take account of the increasing cost of maintaining the Scheme benefits at the current level.  If approved, the contribution increase will take effect from 1 August 2019.

How to give feedback

You can send us your feedback on the proposal up to the consultation close date of 31 May 2019.
