Principal's letter to UUK

The Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Mathieson has written to Universities UK, outlining his latest thinking on the ongoing industrial action by the UCU over the USS pension scheme.

In a letter to UUK Chief Executive Alistair Jarvis he suggests that “new initiatives” are needed to resolve the dispute and backs the notion of establishing an “expert group” to examine the issues behind the industrial action in greater detail.
