Host a student intern with Employ.ed on Campus

The Careers Service is inviting staff to support the student experience by providing paid internships for students.

Whether you have a project that you are always putting off, you need a student perspective on your work, or you want to gain a new motivated team member, you can get involved with the Employ.ed on Campus Summer Internship Programme.

Popular programme

Last year, all of the host managers said they would recommend the programme and 95 per cent felt that their intern brought fresh ideas, thinking and skills to their department.

The programme is also very popular with students – there were 860 applications in 2018, and 92 per cent of interns believe their employment prospects are better as a result of their internship experience.

Diverse placements

Internships are varied and take place across the University.

Last year, there were 59 interns working across 21 Schools and 11 departments. Projects included research and analysis, outreach and engagement, design, web development, digital marketing and more
