Edinburgh signs Technician Commitment
The University has signed up to the Technician Commitment.
The sector-wide initiative aims to ensure visibility, recognition, career development and sustainability for technicians working in higher education and research, across all disciplines.
Edinburgh joins 54 other UK universities and institutions – including many from the Russell Group – who have pledged their commitment to the initiative.
Taking action
The initiative involves a commitment to take ongoing action around key challenges affecting technical services staff, and an annual assessment of the impact of actions taken to evaluate progress and ensure effectiveness.
The Technician Commitment is a led by the Science Council and supported by the Gatsby Foundation.
