SR&S strategy review

The University is to review its Social Responsibility & Sustainability Strategy, and welcomes staff and student input.

The strategy, which was adopted in 2010, sets out the University's longstanding commitment to promoting and embedding social responsibility and sustainability within its academic and support departments.

The review, to be completed in the next few months, will assess progress made over the past four years and identify gaps in order to develop a refreshed set of ambitions and actions.

The review will be led by Osbert Lancaster, Honorary Fellow and School of GeoSciences and independent sustainability consultant, on behalf of the Department for Social Responsibility & Sustainability (SRS).

Staff and students are invited to share with Mr Lancaster their thoughts on what the terms 'social responsibility' and 'sustainability' mean to them.

The deadline for comment submission is 28 November.
