National pay award: update

Staff covered by Joint Negotiating Committee for Higher Education Staff (JNCHES) pay bargaining will receive a two per cent pay increase in their August 2014 pay.

The dispute relating to the national pay negotiations for 2013-14 has been resolved following agreement on the 2014-15 pay award.

The outcome is a two per cent uplift on all pay points on the national pay spine.

Revised pay scales

Affected staff will receive the increase in their annual salary with effect from 1 August 2014.

This pay award does not affect clinical staff or the few small staff groups not covered by the national higher education pay agreements.

Revised pay scales will be available on the Human Resources website in the near future.

Further information on the pay negotiations can be found on the Universities & Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) website.
