Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hosts will be required to fund their intern positions.

Managers must complete a job specification template by January 2015, and internship roles will be advertised on MyCareerHub in early February 2015.

Valuable opportunity

Employ.ed on Campus was launched three years ago, with 15 interns.

This summer, 39 students were hosted on various work-based placements, and 40 places will be made available in 2015.

The Careers Service will offer guidance and support to staff throughout the application process and placement period.

It will also guide students through a structured development plan, culminating in them receiving an Edinburgh Award in recognition of their career and personal development.

The programme was very well structured. It was great to be able to support a student in a practical way and help them towards a possible career decision.
