Themed events

Proposals must fall under at least one of the following themes:

  • building partnerships across schools and disciplines
  • public engagement
  • creating communities of learning
  • employability

Proposals can request up to £1,500.

Experimental learning

ILW2014 offers staff the chance to experiment with alternative teaching methods instead of running regular labs, tutorials and lectures.

Students will have the opportunity to take risks, develop new skills, take part in interdisciplinary learning and form new networks.

More than 200 creative and experimental learning events took place during 2013’s Innovative Learning Week.

Events included a Best in Show sketching event (School of Art, School of Design, Moray House School of Education), a Japanese tea ceremony (History of Art), a Smart Data Hack (Informatics) and an English Literature student-led conference.

Proposal deadline

Staff event proposals must be submitted by email by 5pm, 15 November 2013.
