Gold for healthy working

The University has successfully renewed its Healthy Working Lives gold award.

The Healthy Working Lives award programme is part of a national initiative run by the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives.

The award programme supports employers and employees to develop health promotion and safety themes in the workplace.

Continued commitment

The University initially obtained the gold-level award, valid for three years, in 2010.

An NHS Health Promotion Adviser visited the University in May to carry out a reassessment.

The renewal of the gold award highlights the University’s continued commitment to promoting a safer, healthier workforce.

Renewing this gold-level award is acknowledgment of the wide range of health and wellbeing initiatives available to staff, many of whom continue to organise, promote and actively participate in the varied activities and events which take place throughout the year. This award recognises their effort and hard work.
