U@Ed will provide access to course information, library catalogues and borrowing records, tuition and accommodation fee details, PC availability, campus maps and news.

24-hour information

Users of the new application will also have access to a Pocket Guide feature, offering information on student services and facilities and tips on life and study in Edinburgh.

U@Ed’s Friend Finder facility will enable students to locate their friends around the University’s multiple sites.

Results of two surveys, carried out in 2010, revealed a dramatic increase in smartphone ownership among students.

Download

The app is aimed at students but is available for anyone to download and use for free.

It has been designed for leading mobile platforms such as Apple, Android and shortly Blackberry.

There is also a web version available which can be used on any mobile device which has internet capabilities.

The campus app will be a great addition to any student's pocket. It's clearly been put together with students in mind and gives you quick access to all the information you need.
