The events will be run by Edinburgh Research and Innovation (ERI) and Information Services (IS).
Maximum efficiency
ERI, with project management support from IS, has launched a project to review, with a view to replacing, the InfoEd Research Management & Administration System (RMAS).
RMAS is used to manage the pre-award process on behalf of the University.
The system records details of all applications submitted to, and awards secured from, research funders, and drives the costing tool that ERI staff use.
The new project will evaluate the whole pre- and post-award process to ensure maximum efficiency gains.
Stakeholder views
Research funding is a key income stream for the University and there are now many stakeholder communities involved with it.
It is important that the needs and requirements of these communities are taken into account at the business-planning phase of this project.
The town hall meetings will provide an opportunity for staff to find out more about the project and contribute their views.
