Already, a network of 50 team members is dedicated to delivering the University’s Switch and Save Energy Reduction Campaign.

Volunteers will help the University to deliver this campaign and distribute key information on all energy-related matters to staff in their areas.

Tasks may include producing posters, answering questions, sharing best practice and engaging with colleagues to identify potential energy-reduction measures in their work areas.

An Energy Coordinator briefing and training workshop will be held in August.

Raising awareness

The Switch and Save Energy Reduction Campaign has evolved into a partnership initiative between the Energy Office, Accommodation Services and EUSA.

The partnership aims to raise awareness across all University premises, and will work alongside student groups and societies to provide support and training and encourage best practice.

Staff members interested in becoming an Energy Coordinator should contact Shona Buchanan or Sandra Kinnear, with a view to being signed up by 22 July.
