ECA merger update

The University Court and Edinburgh College of Art’s Board of Governors are to meet this month to discuss a detailed proposal on the merger.

Should both governing bodies support the merger, the Scottish Funding Council and the Scottish Government will both be asked to consider the proposal.

Feedback considered

Staff and students were asked for their views on the merger in August, and these have been taken into consideration throughout the process.

Prior to that, the University invited members of the academic community to comment on the broad idea for the proposed academic vision for merger.

The proposal, developed by both institutions, is now available online.
