New talent set to shine in ECA graduate programme

Edinburgh College of Art’s 2026 Graduate Show events series is now live, with tickets available to events showcasing the next generation of designers, artists and creators.

This year's Edinburgh College of Art Graduate Show events take place across May and June 2026, with tickets now available to book.

Highlights include slick catwalk shows and a theatrical costume showcase, with the programme culminating in a graduate exhibition featuring more than 500 students’ cutting-edge creations.

Part of Edinburgh College of Art’s Graduate Show, tickets are expected to sell out quickly, as members of the public are given a first look at work from a new generation of artists.

Dramatic designs

The creative flair and technical skills of Performance Costume students kick off the series in a dedicated show.

Their eye-catching designs inspired by theatre, film, opera and dance will take centre stage at a dramatic performance in Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall on Friday 15 May.

Fashion forward

Tickets have also been released for the ECA Fashion Show. On Friday, 22 May, the Edinburgh Futures Institute will be transformed into a runway as the newest talent in fashion showcase their innovative designs. 

Previous graduates have gone on to work for fashion houses such as Gucci, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen, with the Fashion Show highlighting the energy and creativity of final year students' work to the world. 

Student showcase

At the heart of the series will be an inspiring and varied exhibition that takes place throughout Edinburgh College of Art, which is free to attend and opens on Friday 29 May. 

It will feature the broad spectrum of creative disciplines on offer across the University of Edinburgh’s College of Art. Alongside the exhibition, a number of other live events and performances will spotlight a range of student creativity and talent.

Final showcase

Film and TV students will present a programme of films at the Filmhouse on Wednesday 27 May, followed by a screening of final work from Animation graduates on Tuesday 2 June.

ECA’s Music Concert will present live performances at the Reid Concert Hall on Wednesday 3 June, while the Music Gig showcases original compositions on Thursday 4 June at the College's iconic Wee Red Bar.

These diverse and stunning shows offer audiences the chance to glimpse the incredible creative talent of our graduating students. Visitors can expect to encounter work that is not only visually striking but also intellectually stimulating and truly innovative. We have a strong history of shaping some of the most notable creative talents in the UK and internationally, and this year is no exception.
