Research ethics support

Key ethics procedures and contacts for obtaining ethical opinion for research studies conducted by CMVM researchers

All College staff and students conducting research require an ethical opinion for their proposed research studies. Please see the decision flowchart summarising sponsorship and ethics procedures at the College.

If you are planning to conduct health or social care-related research, please contact the ACCORD office for sponsorship review before applying for ethical approval. They will help you determine whether your research might require NHS approval, or whether it should be submitted to another College Research Ethics Committee for review.
