IOT in Schools Project

Welcome to Learn@IOT, the portal for the Internet of Things in Schools project, a collaboration between the University of Edinburgh and the Local Authorities in the South East of Scotland. 

Funded by the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region deal and working alongside the Data Education in Schools team, the latest sensor technology is being put into the hands of learners and teachers. 

Fifty schools are now involved in the project, and learners have explored the data from internal and external environmental sensors, developing their skills in data, numeracy, technology and science. 

The project has been in the pilot phase since 2019. It is now being offered to all Local Authority schools across Fife, West Lothian, City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and Scottish Borders.
