British Thoracic Society Medical Student Prize for 2016

December 2016: Congratulations to Sam Williams

Sam Williams, a medical student, won the British Thoracic Society Medical Student Prize for 2016 which was presented at the annual scientific meeting in London on 7th December.

His presentation was entitled 'Pseudomonas aeruginosa induces neutrophil cell death which is reversed by hypoxia'.  He worked with Professors Moira Whyte and Sarah Walmsley on this project.
