Future activity
Our approach to future activity and engagement with partners in North America will be proactive, ambitious and strategic.
Working in alignment with the University's Strategy 2030 and building on our regional strengths, our ambition is to focus on research and industry partnership, student recruitment and alumni relations.
Ambitions and aims
Our activity aims to support research excellence, innovation in teaching and learning and global access by developing our strong links with key strategic partners.
Our ambitions include further meaningful collaboration with Rice University, the University of Toronto and Cornell University, building on our shared work generated from recent seed funding initiatives.
We want to work with a North American university partner to establish innovative joint degrees and explore transnational education opportunities in the region.
Industrial engagement will be a focus in the coming years and we aim to develop this activity with key stakeholders in North America. We would like to focus this activity on the themes of:
- data
- healthcare
- sustainability
We aim to diversify our research funding and our student community from North America.
