Bringing Climate Change Home: researching weathered society
This all-day event is an opportunity to share inspiration and expertise on weather and climate change and the connections between these and society. We invite early career researchers (and others) across disciplines to share their research and join discussions on how to structure this kind of research and how to ensure and maximise the impacts of drawing these connections.
Research in the social sciences and research on climate change or weather as such, as well as environmental science more generally, have valuable insights to provide each other in the context of the changing (research and planetary) climate. Scholars from both sides interested in forging connections and potentially building research proposals are welcome.
Co-organised by Heid Jerstad (GCRF postdoctoral fellow) with the Global Environment and Society Academy (GESA).

Weather Matters is a space for debate and conversation among scholars with an interest in weather and climate change. Not a journal, it is somewhere for the currently disparate field to talk about what we are doing, why, how to do it, and for book reviews, conference reviews and photo essays.
