The General Council offers congratulations to members who received an award in the 2024 King's Birthday Honours List

The Education (Scotland) Act 1858, which established the General Council, gave it the right to make representations to the University Court on matters concerning the prosperity and wellbeing of the university.

Members of the International Standing Committee met with the Vice-Principal International for an update on the University's Global Plan and were joined by the International Dean for SE Asia and Australasia to look at the University's engagement within the region

The Committee received a presentation from Mr Gavin McLachlan, Vice-Principal and Chief Information Officer and Librarian to the University

The Committee met with Professor Colm Harmon, Vice-Principal Students, to hear progress on the University's Curriculum Transformation Project

The Committee met with Gemma Gourlay, Head of Social Impact, to talk about the Year 3 Report of the University's Community Plan.
