Mapping the Remains by Artist Lisa Temple-Cox

Anatomy@Edinburgh are delighted to welcome artist Lisa Temple-Cox to give her talk, Mapping the Remains.

Mapping the Remains aims to record, map, and make connections between several medicalised representations of the self across a number of historically significant collections: reconstructing a subjective body from the disparate objects within. 

This talk will take place in the historic Anatomy Lecture Theatre as part of the Anatomical Museum open day. This talk will coinside with the annual Anatomy in Art exhibiton held within the Anatomical Museum, featuring work from Edinburgh College of Art undergraduate students.

Please note that the Anatomical Museum contains human remains and due to the laws governing the display of human remains there is strictly no photography or filming within the musuem. Under 16s should be accompanied by an adult to this event. 

Due to the installation of a new lift, unfortunately there is no lift access for visitors with restricted mobility, wheelchairs or prams. Please note that access to the Anatomical Museum is up 4 flights of stairs.
