Dr Gemma Hogg Awarded Teacher of the Month April 2019

Following runner up for Teacher of the Month January 2019, Dr Gemma Hogg, Surgical Anatomy Demonstrator, has been voted by the students as Teacher of the Month April 2019 for the Department of Surgery.

Gemma is a valued and enthusiastic member of our team, primarily teaching anatomy to the Undergraduate Medical students. Gemma regularly delivers tutorials to the medical students, who are completing their surgical placements at the Royal Infirmary; covering pathology and trauma where her primary aim is to relate her clinical experience back to anatomy.

I have found it an incredibly fun and rewarding part of my surgical training and it has been a privilege to be able to give something back to the University having been an Edinburgh Undergraduate myself.
