Conference addresses credit issues
Key figures in world finance are to discuss global credit issues at a University conference.
The Credit Scoring and Credit Control conference, hosted by the Credit Research Centre in the University's Business School, will address key problems and challenges facing the world economy.
Close to 400 delegates from across the world are expected to attend the event, which runs from August 24-26 at Pollock Halls, Edinburgh.
Distinguished speakers
The conference is considered Europe’s premier conference for credit scoring - the assessment of how creditworthy a person, group or organisation is.
Subjects such as corporate defaults, fraud, ratings and responsible lending will also be addressed.
Speakers include:
- Dr Michael Gordy, Senior Economist at the US Federal Reserve
- Dr Dennis Glennon, Director for Credit Risk Analysis at the US Office of the Controller of the Currency
- Dr Richard Norgate, Head Decision Science, Lloyds Banking Group
- Robert Stine, Professor of Statistics at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania
