Small Mammals Anaesthesia and Analgesia

This course provides students with knowledge of how anaesthesia may be managed in small pet or laboratory mammals, such as rabbits and rodents. Species specific situations will be discussed.
This course is delivered fully online using a blend of online learning methods supported by the University’s award winning online learning environments.
It is a distance learning courses, but you won’t feel isolated - you will have the opportunity to work closely with your fellow students and tutors in a properly supported, collaborative and vibrant online learning environment.
This course is aimed at individuals working within animal anaesthesia who wish to develop their knowledge and critical thinking.
An undergraduate degree, with an excellent or very good classification (equivalent to first or upper second-class honours in the UK), in veterinary medicine, veterinary nursing or a degree in a related science subject with appropriate practical experience may be accepted subject to individual approval.

If English is not your first language, we will also need to see evidence of your English language proficiency before we can offer you a place.

In order for you to have access to the course of your choice you need to be enrolled as student. After we have accepted you onto the course, Academic Registry will send an email to your new University of Edinburgh Student email account asking you to fill in, sign and return a form for matriculation.
